The heater core is clogged and needs to be flushed in accordance with tsb 14-063. Getting the crv to operating temperature and driving hundreds of miles has no affect getting heat. The lack of heat poses a significant safety hazard due to extreme freezing temperatures and windshield defrosting. Defroster and vent heat does not heat properly on the drivers side, passenger side works normally. Lack of proper function causes wind shield to fog and obstruct vision. Honda dealer says heater core is partially blocked causing this issue. Dealer says there is a tech bulletin about this issue. There is not a recall on this model, but it is a know problem on some cr-vs.
